6 Elementary Art Lessons Inspired by Hispanic Artists - Hispanic Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic Artists with this collection of elementary art lessons that will keep your kindergarten through 5th grade art students engaged in painting, drawing, collage and more while learning about artists Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Jaime Dominguez, Lourdes Villagomez, Lizeth Preito and Amelia Pelaez. These elementary art lesson plans will cover 2-3 weeks of planning. The students will learn some fun facts and be engaged in art critiques of artists work. The PowerPoint slides and/or PDF slides includes art vocabulary (elements of art and principles of design), lesson objectives (I can... statements), materials needed, step by step directions, handouts, templates and a YouTube video art tutorial for each lesson. This package will yield a well rounded, beautiful display to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15) or anytime of the year. Enjoy!

• Lessons are grouped by age appropriateness. Of course, you can adjust to your students. 2 lessons each for K-1st, 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th.
