Description

This interactive lesson on offline & online bullying and meanness will have everyone's attention! This tried and true lesson, used and tweaked for 2 years before it's release, is now ready for YOU!

This 5th/6th grade classroom lesson, "Bullying - What it is, What it isn't, and How to stop it Offline AND Online" teaches students:

(1) The difference between rude, mean, and bullying

(2) How to identify rude vs. mean vs. bullying with real-world scenarios

(3) How to stand up for themselves and others with 6 different strategies they can use when someone is being mean or bullying.

(4) What to do if someone is being bullied or targeted online.

(5) What to do if they are the target of meanness or bullying online.

(6) How to make sure they don't do it to someone else.

Time Needed:

Initial Lesson: 45-60 minutes (completely depends on how much time you give the students for each turn & talk and strategy practice time).

Review Lesson: 35-40 minutes (This presentation doesn't lose it's effectiveness when repeated a second year. The students genuinely have liked the refresher and quick practice on these strategies).
