What educators are saying

These multiplication games were used as early finisher tasks in my fifth grade classroom. They were a great review and could be completed independently.

Description

This is a hands on resource for teaching multiplication of decimals and whole numbers to your students. It will get your students thinking about multiplication and understanding it at a deeper level.

This bundle includes the following:

-Area Model Multiplication Work Mat

-Area Model Multiplication Practice Matching Game

-Hot Potato Partner Worksheets for decimals and whole numbers

The structure "hot potato" is used to encourage equal participation within partner work. We use erasable colored pencils; each partner has a different color. Then they pass the paper back and fourth, every step, within EACH problem. Have students roll a dice to fill in the numbers, or fill them in before you copy. We use this resource multiple times within our unit, so it is used as a template. You should print, and then copy DOUBLE SIDED when using this resource, if you want to use both pages.

-Multiplying by Powers of Ten Sort

-Multiplying by Powers of Ten Game

-Multiplying Exponents Game

-Powers of Ten Work Mat

-Multiplying Decimals Matching Game

Task Cards for the following:

-Mental Math

-Exponents

-Powers of Ten

-Multiplying Powers of Ten
