5th Grade NGSS Close Reading Bundle

Included here are leveled reading passages, comprehension questions aligned to Common Core standards, and open-ended journal response questions that correspond to the science-related text.

This packet contains 12 close reading sets. Each set includes:

- Essential question

- Leveled Informational Text(s)

- 3 sets of CCSS Aligned Questions

- 2 Journal Prompts (1 corresponding to the EQ and another at DOK 4 relating to the content of the text)

Each text is available in 3 levels: a beginning, middle and end of 5th grade level.

Available digitally! The leveled texts, their applicable question sets and journal responses are also available as Google Slides™ presentations.

Each text will have 3 files (one containing the beginning of the year leveled text, all question sets and written responses; another with the middle of year leveled text + questions and responses, and a third with the end of year leveled text + questions and responses).
