This is a collection of lessons created to address the 5.NBT.3 common core standard for fifth grade.
The lessons include:
-How to read and write decimals up to the thousandths place through models and charts.
-How to read and write decimals up to the thousandths place in expanded form.
-How to compare decimals up to the thousandths place by using a place value chart.
-Using tables and number lines to compare decimals up to the thousandths place.
-Discussion questions to increase rigor.
-Multiple choice exit ticket questions.
-Free response practice problems.
There are 55 slides in this file, which should last you approximately one week. The practice problems and exit tickets at the end of each session/lesson can be used as a common assessment.
