Description

This slideshow presentation is an interactive teaching tool you can use in the classroom face to face, or virtually. It is created specifically for the 50th day of school, but can be used to teach 1950s decade history. You will find youtube videos embedded to help with skip-counting to 50, and history learning videos. Compare and contrast slides, and historical people are also included, and much more. I hope you enjoy your 50th day of school, and these helpful slides!

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
