Your students will love studying the US states, capitals, and regions with these easy-to-use and engaging resources. They will practice their simple research skills while using the 50 States Workbook and will end with a beautiful book full of useful information. Then they can decorate a banner about a state and hang it in the classroom to show what they have learned!

Included in this bundle is:

50 States Banner

A pennant for each of the 50 states that can be used as a creative state report or a classroom decoration. I like to fold the tabs over a length of string and hang in the hallway or in my classroom to display what we are working on.

Each student can be assigned 1-2 states to study and report on, and each pennant asks for information such as: the state flag, labeling a state map with the capital city, labeling and coloring the state bird and state flower, and writing what the state is best known for.

50 States Student Workbook

This newly updated resource includes a workbook page for each of the 50 states. My students fill out a page each day as we work our way across the United States in our studies of the States and Regions.

The workbook page asks students to fill out and accurately color information such as capital and major cities, state population, the state flag, state symbols (state bird, state tree, and state flower), one major state landmark, and to write about what they would do if visiting that state in order to synthesize information.

An additional, optional page is also included that can be printed on the back of each state page if you choose. This page asks students to research and fill out information such as a state population map, statehood, bordering states, major rivers, famous people from that state, major industries, and more.
