Description

We all would like to have our students discuss more and develop better communication skills in the math classroom. In reading, NTCM’s 5 Practices for Orchestrating Productive Mathematics Discussions, I learned that this is possible and doable! To spark deeper discourse in the math classroom, the teacher must plan before instruction and take detailed notes during instruction. Here, is a planning tool that supports all 5 stages: anticipation, monitor, select, sequence, and connect. It also includes guiding questions that can enhance the discussion. Grab this planning tool and be prepared for the next thought provoking conversation in your classroom.
