Description
As we move towards standards-based and mastery grading, I found it so important to communicate to students EXACTLY what a 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0 meant in Math!
This kid-friendly 4 point math rubric is aligned to the Smarter Balanced General Math Rubric. This resource contains a title page with and without "SBAC," just in case you your students don't take the SBAC, but you'd still like to use the rubric.
Classroom posters are provided, as well as a student handout (I also printed these handouts out for parents during Back to School Night).
As I introduce them to students, we discuss the differences between the expectations of each number grade, and highlight key words.
I hope you will find this useful! Please let me know if you have any questions :)
