3rd Grade Writing Rubrics (EDITABLE & DIGITAL)

This resource includes two rubrics for each style of writing required of 3rd graders according to the common core standards (informational, persuasive/opinion, narrative). One rubric is a 1-4 scale and the other is based on a percentage grade of up to 100. Note: this rubric does allow for students to score higher than 100 if maximum points are given in each of the areas. (This would show that students are capable of more than the standard requires for 3rd grade.)

3 ways to use these rubrics
1. Paper-You can, of course, print the rubrics and write directly on them. (A PDF is included in the file so you DO NOT have to have powerpoint in order to use this option.)
2. Digital-You can use this resource in digital format by typing into the fields provided on each rubric. (You must have powerpoint to be able to do this!)
3. Editable-You can open the editable version to make any changes to the rubric itself to suit your personal preference. (You must have powerpoint to be able to do this!)
