    Description

Included in this bundle are 2, 3rd grade Area and Perimeter activities to engage your students, get them thinking critically about real-world mathematical applications, all while having a ton of FUN!

The 24 Area and Perimeter Word Problems and Vocabulary Task Cards will challenge your students to think through area and perimeter word problems and multiple choice questions involving an understanding of vocabulary and applying additive area concepts.

The Build Your Dream Backyard project is a really fun way to get your students thinking about what it takes to build and design something BIG! Student "architects" will be asked to design their ideal backyard, sometimes having to make tough decisions about what will fit in the space. They will add up their costs with a "Final Invoice". The Literacy Link challenges "architects" to explain how they made decisions.

These are 2 awesome resources to add to your area and perimeter unit, or a fun way to incorporate math into the last days of school while letting your students get in touch with their creative sides!

Thank you for downloading! Happy Teaching! :)
