Description

This resource is great for practice with inflectional endings for small group and phonics practice. All pages focus on the different sounds of the suffix ED. There is also an anchor chart to remind students of the sounds ed makes. This makes a great supplemental resource to any Science of Reading Orton Gillingham Reading Program

For all of the pages that have words that have /id/ sound like in “wanted” I included additional pages with –ed instead of saying /id/. Take a look below. This means you will see double pages, for the headers and recording sheets that have –ed (/-id/).

The pages included are:

  • Cut and Paste Sort- students cut and paste words in the correct columns

  • Syllable Division with answer key

  • Sentence Reading- Find the suffix circle it and read.

  • Fluency Word Chart

  • Hands On- Teacher will pre-cut the words students will add the ed to the word and read

  • Identify and Color

  • Decodable Passage with Reading Comprehension Questions

  • Spell the Pictures - Color & BW with answer key

  • Read the words and write a word that rhymes with the listed word.

  • Read, Sort, & Write- students read the words from the word bank and then write the words in the correct columns

  • Fill in the Missing word in a Sentence- Students read the sentence and use the words from the word bank to fill in the missing word.

  • Read and Write- students read the words listed and write a sentence using that word.

  • Sorting Cards- there are four cards and a header card included for the three sounds of -ed.

  • Anchor Chart / Rule Poster- Students learn why there is /id/ /t/ or /d/ sound at the end.
