3-Dimensional Shapes - SMARTBoard

"3-Dimensional Shapes" is an engaging four day lesson plan that allows students to learn about 3D shapes and their properties.

*Students will compare 2D and 3D shapes as well as identify what a shape looks like when it is open (a net).
*Students will look at 3D shapes and recognize real life objects that match it (ex. sphere = soccer ball).
*Linked videos/songs/math website and game
*Attached note to parents and shapes to use for a singing activity.
*An opportunity for students to explore boxes in real life to see the net and put it back together.
*4 days of lessons but it could potentially be longer depending on how long your math block is.

These lessons will encourage conversation and allow children to discover 3D shapes in the classroom as well as their world. The lessons are stimulating, appealing and are aligned with Common Core State Standards.
