    Narrative Unit

There are 2 Narrative Units included in this bundle. One is a traditional in-class curriculum. The other is designed for hybrid learning and or distance learning. It includes 12 teaching videos where I do all the teaching for you. The videos go along with a 60-page digital interactive notebook that is easy for students to do. It is everything you need for digital learning.

This is a step-by-step narrative writing unit that has everything in it for you to teach narrative writing for up to 8 weeks or more. It can be used with Personal Narrative or Fictional Narrative. It has step-by-step lesson plans (even a substitute could teach it) and differentiated graphic organizers that are helpful for new and experienced writers. There are lots of opportunities for students to practice and build on their skills. This is perfect for your 1st-grade classroom.

It will help new writers gather ideas on how to write narratives and will take them through the entire process. There are full-color story starter cards, story starter prompts, and several other foundations for the Narrative Writing Process. This process aligns with Common Core Standards and Writer's Workshop concept.

    Opinion Unit

This is a STEP BY STEP process that has worked in numerous classrooms across the globe and is very effective. It is all common core aligned. Your students will learn to expand their reasons in their Opinion Writing.

This unit will help students start at the beginning of the writing process and will take them to the next level. Various differentiated graphic organizers and story maps are included. Students will also get to write some fact-based opinion writings and small group and whole group lessons are included. They will end the unit with an experience in expanding their reasons by adding important details. You will be able to take your student from writing just a few sentences (or none at all) to writing 8 or more. This will transform into Opinion Writing Pieces that will prepare the student for a writing benchmark.

    Informational Writing

This concept of “Inferences” can be slow to start, but when the students get it, a huge light bulb goes off and a big smile spreads across their face. This is the perfect step into Informational Writing. It teaches the skills of taking what they know and combining it with new information to make a new thought. It is a rewarding concept to teach and can be taught in all grades. This Unit is available for DIGITAL AND PRINTABLE.

In these lessons, students take the information they already know on a topic, read an article or informative story about the topic, and combine the two like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and they get a new sentence. Their sentences can be combined to make a new informative paragraph all written by them! These lessons really help you get started on the informative writing process.

This is not a one-time activity, but one that will be used all year.

PLEASE NOTE: A few of the units have repeated information that applies to all the units. The price does not include repeated information.
