I used these during my end-of-year parent conferences to walk families through 2nd grade expectations. With Digital learning and the unknown of what Fall may look like for our classrooms, the Summer Slide is more frightening than ever! Show this checklist to your families and encourage them to print it out and post it on their fridge for their students to check off as they master skills throughout the summer. My families so far have been SO grateful for this resource. I send it to families with digital flash cards as well as a sample Level I passage to set their students up for success.
Skills are compiled of Reading and Math 1st grade California State Standards, but can apply to much more.
