Description

This is a PDF of the Math and ELA vocabulary words completely 100% aligned with 2nd Grade Common Core.

These are all the same size when cut out and are typed in a cute readable font for easy reference to students and teachers alike. I will be using these to introduce new terms on my weekly vocabulary board where they will join my larger word wall afterward.

Just a few of the terms are:

ELA:
key details
text features
prefix
compare
narrative
complete sentence
adjective
verb
greeting
compound word
glossary
possessive
and many more...

Math:
addends
column
difference
partition
standard form
greater than
numeral
a.m.
p.m.
dime
quarter
attribute
quadrilaterals
measure
picture graph
bar graph
and many more...

There are 153 terms aligned and taken straight from the 2nd grad common core. I am really excited that not only do the cards have the vocab. words they also include the strand/standard reference in the bottom right hand corner of each one. This will greatly help with lesson planning and making sure I am utilizing each word as best as possible.

These cards were created without pictures and in black and white because that is what works best for me. I found that the words with pictures made the actual word relatively small thus harder to see across the room. I am excited to use these this year and I hope you will find them useful as well!

Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks so much!

Amy
