Description

This file includes an assessment and practice page (for guided instruction, small group) consisting of 20 questions each.

This assessment and practice includes 10 questions on the front where the student must measure pictures of objects and bars to the closest centimeter. The graphics are mainly measuring right on the centimeter.

The second page of the assessment and practice includes 5 multiple choice questions that students must choose the best tool to measure various objects. For example: Which tool would be used to measure a basketball? Which tool would be used to measure a shoe?
There is also a multi-select problem (Ex: Choose 3 tools that you would measure the length of your shoe).
Finally, there are 4 open response questions. Students are shown a picture and must determine the best tool to measure the object. Then, they determine 2 tools they would NOT use to measure that object and explain why they would not use it.
