    Level 1: Solve for the variable in equations with of a sum made of two single-digit addends.

    Level 2: Solve for the variable in equations with two-digit and one-digit addends and differences that are multiples of 10.

    Level 3: Solve for the variable in two equations with sums and differences made of two-digit and single-digit numbers.

    Level 4: Solve for the variable in three equations with sums, products, and differences made of two-digit and single-digit numbers.

    Task Cards:

    Students will find the value of each shape on the task cards by solving 1-3 math equations, depending on the level of difficulty. Suggestions for use include:

    Differentiated, Constructed Response Money Word Problems: Includes pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollars!

    All students will engage in ability based activities, while working on the same money standards. There are a total of 36 task cards, with a set of 12 on each ability level. An answer sheet for each set is provided.

    Green Level 3:

    Solve money word problems involving 5 and 1 dollar bills, dollar coins, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately. (Coins are rotated in different directions.)
