Description

Make connecting with parents about phonics and all the many rules their child will be learning easy to follow so that they can help their students extend their learning at home. This Saxon Phonics reference guide is helpful for both teachers and parents. It helps make connections between home and school so that parents can help their children sound out words properly and know what rules they have been taught so far in the school year.

Although this follows Saxon Phonics, this can be used for any phonics program or curriculum. It has every rule that students will need to learn by the time they are headed to 2nd grade. Learning phonics rules can be overwhelming. Teaching phonics is a task that many teachers take on and would like parents to be able to understand so that they can help their child at home. This is the perfect download to help in that area.

Here is what you will get:

  • 1-2 phonics rules per page
  • easy to read guides on how to code and why
  • explanations for every rule of when to use it and why

If you want to print multiple pages on one sheet, that option is available once you download and go to print. Under the settings, you can tell your printer that you want 2-4 pages to a page and even choose which pages you want together.

Your parents will be so thankful to have a guide to help them understand why their student is learning certain rules and to be able to remind them during their reading how to use their new phonics skills.

It is easy to download and print. No prep other than to send it home!
