1st Grade Common Core Math Review Smartboard Whack a Mole

This is a Smartboard Whack-a-Mole game that corresponds with the Common Core enVisions Math curriculum, but it can be used as a review of math topics learned in Grade 1 for any curriculum.

It is lots of fun! I have my students (gently) throw a bean bag or koosh ball at the Smartboard. When it whacks a mole it takes them to a slide. On that slide there is a multiple choice question. To engage all learners I have every student silently do an A, B, C, or D in sign language. When the student clicks on the question mark box it has a sound effect (ex: clapping, wow, or woohoo) and shows the correct answer. When they click the little mole in the corner it will take them back to the main page.
