What educators are saying
Description
I created this activity as a reflection after my students took the free personality assessment found on 16personalities.com. I used this assignment as a part of my Socialization unit in Sociology I. In addition to reflecting on the results of the assessment, they will also apply the results in consideration of the four factors of personality development (heredity, birth order, parents, and culture). Finally, students compare personality averages in the United States to a country of their choice as a cross-cultural component.
The activity was created on Google Slides, so it is easy to modify for your needs. It is print ready, or can be assigned to students digitally.
Thorough directions are included in each section of the activity, but you will likely need to familiarize yourself with the website before giving to students.
The online assessment could easily take some students at least 30 minutes, and the reflection usually takes up to 30 minutes as well. I use remaining class time to have a discussion over students' results.
I am not affiliated with the organization, however, I have used this product in my classroom and students really enjoyed learning about their personal strengths, weaknesses, relationships, and potential career paths.
