What educators are saying

There are so many great demonstration ideas included in this resource! I like doing "phenom Fridays" with cool demos, so this was very helpful in giving me ideas. My students have been wowed by the demonstrations we have done so far

Description

Do you want to make science more exciting for your students?

These science experiment demonstrations can be used to engage students of all ages!

Students learn best when they’re engaged, captivated, excited, and curious.

I’ve spent the past two years putting together my favorite 101 science demonstrations and have created tutorial videos that will teach you how to run the same demonstrations in your own classroom or home!

In each tutorial, I talk through the materials you’ll need, walk you (step-by-step) through the demonstration and then discuss the science involved. After watching the tutorial, you’ll feel confident and excited to perform these demonstrations. Your students will be excited to share what they’ve been learning with others!

Preview

In the pdf preview, I’ve provided four free tutorial videos for you to see the format, quality, and value of these demonstrations. Please consider looking through the pdf preview file and watching the videos to see if this product is a good fit for your classroom or home.

Budget

Being a teacher myself, I understand the budget constraints we are all under. The materials in these demonstrations are very budget friendly and easy to obtain. Many of the materials can even be found around your home or school.

NGSS

A core component of NGSS is the phenomenon—a real world situation that peaks the students’ interest and drives them toward solving a problem. These demonstrations can walk hand-in-hand with phenomenon to help your students not just learn about a topic, but to actually figure out why something happens. Many of these demonstrations help to address the new NGSS standards. Although any given science demonstration won’t completely cover a standard, it is a great “lead-in” to introduce the concepts addressed in the standard. Here is a basic list of standards associated with one or more of the science demonstrations in this product:

K-PS2-1, K-PS2-2, 1-PS4-1, 1-PS4-2, 1-PS4-4, 2-PS1-1, 2-PS2-2, 2-PS1-3, 2-PS1-4, K-2-ETS1-1, K-2-ETS1-3, 3-PS2-1, 3-PS2-2, 3-PS2-3, 3-PS2-4, 4-PS3-1, 4-PS3-2, 4-PS3-3, 4-PS3-4, 4-PS4-1, 4-PS4-2, 4-PS4-3, 5-PS1-3, 5-PS1-4, 5-PS2-1, 3-5-ETS1-2, MS-PS1-2, MS-PS1-3, MS-PS1-4, MS-PS1-6, MS-PS2-2, MS-PS2-3, MS-PS3-3, MS-PS3-5, MS-PS1-3, HS-PS1-3, HS-PS1-4, HS-PS2-4, HS-PS2-5, HS-PS3-3, HS-ETS1-2
