100th Day of School Math Craft / Addition and Subtraction within 20 and 2-digit

Let's celebrate the 100th day of school with "The Race to the 100th Shape" game. It’s a math craft that will engage your students with addition and subtraction skills and 2D shape recognition.

Here's what's included:

• Addition and subtraction within 20
• Two-digit addition and subtraction (with and without regrouping)

How does the game work?

The teacher will draw big circles on the board where students can glue their math shapes. There will be four students in each group: Student 1 will have circles and squares, Student 2 will have triangles and rectangles, and Student 3 will have trapezoids and hexagons. Firstly, each student will cut out their math problems. Next, as the teacher or the fourth student says "3-2-1" to start the game, each student will solve their math problems and glue the finished one onto the big circle. Then, the fourth student will count from 1 to 100 to see which shape is the 100th shape. When the game is finished, let's check all the math problems to see which ones are incorrect. The winner will be the student who finishes the 100th shape without any incorrect problems.
