Here’s are 10 simple Lantern coloring craft activities to choose from that requires no prep and is perfect for solo work or collaborative group work. Each student can make their own lantern and combine them to make beautiful ceiling art.
- Start by printing out a PDF file. You can choose the coloring sheet (Black and white) or the colored version (ready to be cut right away).
- Cut out the shapes using scissors. Make sure to follow the lines carefully to get clean and precise cuts.
- Once you have all the shapes cut out it’s time to get creative! Encourage everyone to decorate their shapes using crayons, markers, or colored pencils. They can color them in different patterns or add details to make them unique.
- After everyone has finished coloring their shapes, it’s time to assemble the final artwork. Provide glue and tape at each station for participants to use.
- Instruct the participants to follow the teachers example.
- Once the artwork is complete, let it dry for a few minutes before putting them together displaying it as a decoration. You can hang it on a wall, window, ceiling, or place it on a table for everyone to admire.
