10 Amazing Printmakers: A web quest and sketching workbook

I use this workbook to introduce grade 7 - 12 students to 10 + amazing - contemporary and internationally recognized - printmakers. Purchase, download and print the workbook and instruct your students to visit the specific artist websites indicated. Once they get to the websites, there are 4 questions and a sketching task assigned for each artist. Students love being able to research - and add - a 10th printmaker that inspires them. A great way to introduce students to artists making a living in today's booming art market and losing the 'poor, starving, artist' stereotype. Because this workbook takes about an hour to complete, this activity also curbs the amount of time students spend 'researching' images for their own printmaking projects that follow.
