Spring Summer Fall Winter Writing | Fix It Up Sentences Bundle | Punctuation

This resource includes 108 pages. Each page has a simple story on it including five sentences. The sentences are not written correctly. The first letter in each sentence and a few other Proper Nouns have not been capitalized, and the ending punctuation is missing. A couple of the packs have some of the spacing which needs correcting and sight words not spelled correctly. Have your students rewrite each sentence correctly. Begin each sentence with a capital letter, only use uppercase letters at the beginning of each sentence, add the correct ending punctuation, make sure there is correct spacing between all words, and make sure all sight words are spelled correctly. The sentences used contain frequently used sight words, decodable words that students should be able to read, and a few other common nouns that students see often.

These activities are great for morning work, literacy centers, and homework or for a quick mini lesson on including capital letters, ending punctuation, and spacing between words. Students can read the story to a partner or to the teacher after correcting the sentences. Students could also add other details to the story using the back of their paper or draw a picture of the story to check for reading comprehension.
