On Demand Writing Peer Conferences
This document allows student to use the Rally Coach Kagan structure to conduct peer conferences using each aspect of the on demand writing rubric.
Copy each set and gives cards to students. Place students into groups. One at a time a student reads a peer's writing and chooses a card to give comments about the particular part of the rubric. With this instructional strategy, students are learning from their peer's writing and it turn learning the essential parts of the writing rubric

Journal Prompts
Written in boxes on 4 pages of this Publisher template are ideas for a school journal jar; this is similar to something I used all my years of teaching. When you need a step for reading groups or workshops, the journal jar is like a "free write" option for students.
I would recommend printing this out on card stock & then cutting out each journal prompt to put in a jar or basket of some kind.
