I created Kinder-Metas in my classroom as a way to help my students see and manage their personal goals. Although it has changed from when I first implemented in my classroom, it has definitely been a great addition in my classroom.
I display the Goal Cards in my classroom, and as I assess the students throughout the school year they students color in their stars based on the goals they have reached. At the end of the school year students take their goal cards home with their goals reached.

I Can Statement Sentence Strips - 4th Grade - Common Core (Reading)

I am always trying to think of fun ways to get students excited about vocabulary! This is a great tool you can set up in your room. All you need is a jar labeled "Word Jar" and these slips. As students find new, interesting words in a text of your choosing or their own, they fill out a slip and add this to the jar. Each week, I choose 5 words to go on a section of our word wall.
