TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My name is Megan Evans and I have been teaching for 11 years now! I am a teacher that enjoys creating new and engaging materials for my kiddos and have a passion to build the LOVE of learning and LOVE of Reading for my students! I believe that as educators we have an extremely difficult job to master and I strive to help teachers TEACH without having the strain of creating materials for various subject levels! Just putting my creativity to use! :)

MY TEACHING STYLE

I strive to create a comfortable and welcoming classroom environment for my students. Many of the students I teach consider their school to be their home and I always try to bring in cultural and engaging opportunities for them to grow socially and academically. I believe that the time you invest in a child, you also are investing in your growth as a teacher and individual.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I completed my Education in Texas at University of Texas at Tyler with my Elementary Education (K-6). I then continued my Education in Miami as a teacher for primarily 3rd Grade ELA and earned my ESOL endorsement to help students understand the English Language and make connections within the standards. I then moved to Boston Massachusetts where I was a Visual Arts educator and then transitioned to be a Pre k-Kindergarten teacher! I absolutely love my diverse teacher experience at some of the most incredible places and cannot wait to see what else life has in store for me!
