Description

Make an articulated paper rabbit puppet for Lunar New Year and the Year of the Rabbit. A fun craft project that is also explores the basics of mechanics, making this a great STEAM activity for the New Year celebrations!

Have some classroom fun with these articulated paper puppets for the Year of the Rabbit. These dancing rabbit puppets are a great way to explore very basic mechanics (cause and effect) and are fun to decorate the classroom with or take home as a paper toy. You can even make a whole set of rabbits and string them up as Chinese New Year classroom garland.

TIP: you can leave out the string/ mechanics element and only use brads, if working with younger children or large groups as supervision is needed when “sewing” the string into the paper puppet.
