This was such a creative activity to use with my first grade students during writing. I used it toward the beginning of the year as a way to get to know one another; it was a great classroom display in our hallway to show unique each student was to our classroom.

Build students confidence and positive self image during this BEST PART of me writing activity. Begin by having your students brainstorm using the bubble map. When it is time to write there are different versions with options using a simple sentence frame or just plain lines. You can take a black and white or color picture of their favorite part or you can have your students illustrate their own image. This writing activity is perfect to display and remind students of why they are special and unique! :)
