What educators are saying
This worked well for my study on Black History Month and the invention of the ice cream scoop by Alfred L. Cralle. My emergent readers liked reading this booklet.
Description
Reinforce sight words, number words, types of dialogue, and writing a response with this fun and engaging emergent reader! My "Too Many Scoops" mini book practices the sight words I, said, please, have, no, here, of, too, many, and number words to tell about Jen asking her mom how many scoops of ice cream she can get from the ice cream truck. I have included two levels of writing practice. For beginning writers, a traceable question starter is included. Students will draw a picture of how many ice cream scoops they would like to eat. More advanced writers will write a complete question to match their picture. I have also included 8 fluency puzzles. Students will read a sentence and match it to the correct picture.
**This included in my "June Emergent Readers and Response" Growing Bundle. If you purchased this bundle, you already have this set!
