Learning Objective

Students will explore a variety of centers focused on different aspects of the Holocaust during World War II.

Description

In this Holocaust resource bundle, you receive three high-quality resources to use when teaching the Holocaust in a safe and responsible manner. The first resource is a short reading assignment with analysis questions to complete. The Holocaust is such a deep and powerful topic, so a one-page reading may not be enough for what you need, but it summarizes the rise of Adolf Hitler, the Final Solution, the beginning of the persecution of Jewish people, Kristallnacht, and the building and liberation of Auschwitz.

The second resource in this bundle is called the "Heroes of the Holocaust." In this activity, students use included links to conduct research on a variety of individuals who were heroic in the face of danger, sacrificed themselves to save others, or otherwise defied Nazi rule. This is a humbling assignment as students are able to then take part in a prompt focused on standing up for what is right, even if that means danger for oneself.

The third resource in this bundle has students learn from those who experienced the Holocaust firsthand. Students use the included links to read or listen to two different experiences of survivors.

This resource is included in the larger World War 2 Unit! 10 WWII Resources for Nazi Germany, Holocaust, FDR, Potsdam to give you a considerable discount!
