Do you and your students diagram sentences for syntactic understanding? We use this work along with the Gerunds, Participles, Infinitives, Absolutes, and Prepositional Phrases handout to really get to the root of syntax. It has been an exemplary addition to our classroom, especially when we use it consistently. Students appreciate the visual cues for each verbal as well as the diagrams for understanding how each verbal functions! Watch for more diagramming and syntax resources to be released soon!
