What educators are saying

VERY complete resource. The activities are appropriate for the students' level. The only thing I wish was different was an option for metric measurements for distances and temperatures. No big deal though, it's an easy fix for me to make myself. :)
Best resource out there! I absolutely love how everything is included! Thank you for doing such great work!

Description

Looking for a hassle-free science unit to teach your students about the sun, Earth, and moon? Look no further! This full unit has everything you need to make teaching science a breeze.

Your students will explore the location of the sun, moon, and Earth in our solar system, rotation vs. revolution, phases of the moon, and more!

With a teacher guide, hands-on student activities (printable or digital), learning centers, reader's theater, review activities, and unit assessment, this resource has you covered from start to finish. Say goodbye to the stress of lesson planning and hello to engaging, interactive, and fun science lessons for your students!

HOW IT WORKS:

Transform your science block with these well-structured, student-centered lessons. Each session is designed with three components to help you teach with ease and keep your students engaged and excited to learn.

  • First, start with a dynamic introduction where you review previously taught content and introduce new concepts and content vocabulary. You'll use anchor slides to present the material to the whole group before breaking out into small groups for hands-on practice.
  • Next, students will dive in and get their hands dirty during the lesson activity. They'll work in partners or small groups to explore the material in a fun and interactive way, applying what they're learning in real-world activities. They'll track their progress and record their learning all in one place in their student activity packet.
  • Finally, wrap up each lesson with a reflective discussion where students share what they've learned and reflect on their progress through journal questions.

With these three components in every lesson, you'll be able to deliver engaging, meaningful instruction that will leave a lasting impact on your students.

CONCEPTS COVERED:

  • An introduction to the sun, moon and earth including their locations in the solar system.
  • A lesson on the sun - facts about the sun as well as how it effects the earth
