Description
This two page Webquest takes Spanish (or Social Studies!) students on a journey to research information about "Cinco de mayo." It is geared toward middle or high school students.
Students will find out the true story about "Cinco de mayo," including what it's actually about, who truly celebrates it, and why Mexican-Americans in the United States usually celebrate it more than people in Mexico!
The Webquest is in English, but of course students can fill it out in Spanish if you want. It should take about 30 minutes to complete, but a discussion afterwards can easily extend this into a one hour lesson.
