What educators are saying

This is a fantastic resource that is worth the time and mess! Keeps students engaged and so great for the sensory experiences.
We completed one planet craft each day during out space science unit. The kids loved all of the creative art projects and the final product looked great. The kids wanted to add the sun too so we painted paper plates shades of yellow and orange and stapled it to the front of the project.

Description

Are you studying the SOLAR SYSTEM and the PLANETS and are looking for a fun and creative way to engage your students? If so then this craft-ivity might be exactly what you need. With this SCIENCE ART PROJECT your kiddos will be embossing, feather painting, marble painting, painting with plastic wrap, painting with watercolors, and so much more!

You will certainly motivate the most reluctant of learners! You will also be amazed at how excited your class will be to begin science everyday...

As a direct result of this project, my students began checking out their own books about the planets from the library. On a few separate occasions, I even caught them sharing facts they had learned with each other and all on their own. I even had 2 kiddos make a 3D model of the solar system all ON THEIR OWN!

THIS PRODUCT INCLUDES:

*step by step directions WITH PICTURES of each project and how to carry out each art technique. Every planet and the sun uses a different technique... so no 2 planets will turn out alike

*pictures of the final product

*tips I learned while creating the project with my own students

*labels to be used to create manila envelopes for each group to store their works in progress

*labels of each of the planets and the Sun to be glued onto the final product

*patterns to be traced for each of the planets that allow students to "see" the difference in sizes between each planet

*Cards for students to record facts about each planet and the Sun

Everything has been student tested + teacher-approved :)
