I created this presentation for the first 2-3 weeks of school for my 6th graders. I do believe that this could be used for grades 4th-12th. This is a Google Slide, so you will be able to edit this to better fit your classroom.
This Google Slideshow can be used for multiple activities. I plan on using this for whole group instruction and review using dry erase boards, but this can be used in a variety of different ways.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This also includes a 14-page Google Docs
This can be a stand-alone item or an additional resource to go alongside my Google Slides presentation. What this packet includes is 14 pages of skills review in the following areas;
- Fragments vs Complete Sentences
- Unscrambling Sentences
- Identifying Types of Sentences
- Conjunctions; Coordinate (Fanboys) + Subordinate (On a White Bus)
- Because, But, So Sentence Stems
- Introductory Dependent Clauses
- Simple, Compound, Complex, and Compound-Complex Sentences
- Appositives
- Sentence Combining
- Run-On Sentences
Students will be identifying, applying, and creating the concepts practiced in the resource to build bigger and better sentences.
Answer Key: Since this resource has many opportunities for students to write their own sentences, some answers may vary. No answer key is included with this resource.
Gradel Level:
Since these are made in Google Docs, these will be editable and you are free to change anything you wish to fit your students’ needs no matter what grade level.
