What is Included:
The Self-Grading Portion:
- FIVE ability levels of self-grading task cards are included. There is a digital set for guided reading levels E,F,G,H, and I. Student scores are automatically generated. This is great for progress monitoring and as a literacy center station.
- An animated retell pirate game. Students try to get a score of 80% or higher by answering retell questions along the way. Students hear motivating words and see an animated pirate race across the screen as they play the digital game.
- A digital retell activity is included. This activity is an additional way to review retelling and make learning fun.
The Printable Portion
- 50 printable task cards are included for five ability levels (guided reading levels E,F,G,H, and I). There are 10 printable cards per guided reading level. They include fiction and nonfiction topics. The digital and printable resources make it so easy to differentiate instruction and review reading concepts.
- Printable easy-fold storage boxes are included. These cute boxes work great as station activities or can be sent home with a student that needs extra practice!
This series makes it easier to differentiate instruction, work on the same reading skills with students at different ability levels, monitor student progress, and facilitate individualized reading plans. Nonfiction and fiction passages are both included. An answer key, progress chart, and student recording forms are each included.

Best of all, students get constant inference review. When you cover inferences, take out the task cards at your students' reading levels for authentic differentiated instruction plus comprehension review. These are great because each student can review the same skill but at his or her own level. A student progress form is included.
