Revision Stations - Creative Writing Short Story Revision Station Activities
Do your students always try to skip revision and editing when they're writing? It changed the game when I switched to revising using stations. After writing a draft of their work (this works with any kind of creative writing), students simply bring their draft to each of the different stations. Each station has a specific writing task that they need to work on. I usually put a station poster on different desk groups, and students rotate through at their own pace. I let my students start on their good copies when I can see evidence of each of the stations. With adding in these stations, I saw huge improvements in the quality of their writing!
