Description
Take out all the prep work with these easy-to-use close reading comprehension passages relating to the month of February. Each of the close reading passages (2 fiction and 2 nonfiction) contain 5 days of comprehension activities and graphic organizers that use text-dependent questioning to encourage high-level thinking in your students.
Each passage also contains symbols to use for marking the text to encourage active reading. A page is included at the beginning of the document to align each activity with Common Core standards for second, third, and fourth grade.
*** Please note that the CCSS Lexile Levels for grades 2-4 are as follows. These passages may be a bit of a challenge for 2nd grade, but are perfect for those readers who need more of a challenge.***
