Examples of poems, poetry anchor charts that make great posters to display, videos to watch to learn about the elements of poetry and so much more will make poetry writing a breeze for your students!
Prep is quick and easy... Just print the student pages and/or assign the Google slides (these can be used as whole group learning also) and you are ready to go! Lesson plans with information about each type of poem are included for you also.

Teach one poem a month or teach them all in April for National Poetry Month as you complete this unit.
Lesson plans are included for each type of poem along with online links to make learning about poetry fun, engaging, and easy! Examples poems are written by myself.
