Description
This workbook covers the Grade 7 Physical Patterns in a Changing World, unit in the Ontario Geography curriculum.
In this workbook, students will explore a diverse array of geography topics, encompassing geography's definition and significance, mapping terminology, landform types and classification, and topographic map reading. They will learn about physical patterns related to water sources with case studies, climate regions and graph analysis, and climate change and its causes (including greenhouse gases) with a case study.
Also included are comprehension/thinking activities about natural forces such as weathering and erosion, tectonic forces, including volcanoes and earthquakes, a range of natural disasters like tornadoes and hurricanes, human impact on the environment, and the intricate interplay between human and physical geography.
To support assessment practices, a quiz is included at the end of the workbook.
