Description
This is a personal finance project useful resource for students in a business class or any other subject area where simple math skills or real-life budgeting examples are needed. Students will learn how to manage and plan their own finances, establish and follow a budget, as well as learn the steps to personal financial management. Going digital? This lesson gives students some insight into what it's like to live on their own, and understanding the cost of living. A teacher instruction page has been included to help you organize how you might like to present the information to your students.
Students will have to evaluate and reflect on the costs how each of the following impact a monthly budget: gross income, net income, TV services/subscriptions, apparel, entertainment, food, insurance, internet/wireless services, furnishings, rent, cell phone, electricity, toiletries, medications/prescriptions, pets, transportation, savings, and other unexpected costs.
