Parenting Around the World Student Research Activity

Perfect for any course focused on raising healthy children, parenting, early childhood education. In Ontario, this is perfect for HPC 3O (Raising Healthy Children). Studies are introduced to a series of blog posts that feature different parenting practices around the world. They select a country and begin to research parenting in that particular country or culture. They use a Connect-Extend-Challenge thinking protocol to build on learning already completed in the course about parenting practices. This activity is best used after a general introduction into parenting readiness and skills. Students then contribute to a class slide deck inserting information about their country/culture to create an overview of different parenting practices. I have also included a teacher key with sample entries for various countries.
