Description
This product has several documents to help you with a unit around the wonderful novel The Golden Bull by Marjorie Cowley. I like to read this novel while teaching my students about the ancient civilization of Sumer in Mesopotamia; it really helps them visualize what life was like 5,000 years ago.
Included in this document is a Word document that has an introduction and reading plan for the novel (which you can adjust as needed), a chapter summary organizer, a C-SPACE organizer (a great memory device for summarizing fiction), and a Socratic Seminar organizer.
Each of these assignments also has a teacher version with guiding questions and examples to help your students.
