No Prep Poem of the Week Full Year BUNDLE

====================================================

Also included - full color picture/word cards for reinforcing vocabulary or using in literacy centers.

**Each poem has large pocket chart words to print and use immediately as reference and poetry practice with large groups.

Activities for each poem are repeating to build mastery and independence.

While there is a complete set of poems for pocket charts, many of the pages also have the poem printed on the page for easy reference for those students who find more success when the poem is right in front of them.

Six Easy Reader Poems:

1. I'm a Little Penguin

2. Building A Snowman

3. Little Polar Bear

4. Three Little Snowflakes

5. Snow Day Hooray

6. Who Likes Ice And Snow?

Included For Every Poem:

1. Student version of poem in easy to read fonts.

2. Trace A Poem - Students refer to the pocket chart to trace over the poem. There are two different versions to choose from (with or without lines).

3. Print a Poem - Students practice perfect printing referring to the pocket chart poem. They can also use their own version of the poem if they find more success this way.

4. Read It/Draw It - Students read and illustrate the poem, underlining the parts of the poem that were used to form the drawing. They are also prompted to write about related topics (accessing prior knowledge/text to self).

5. Missing Words - Students use letter box shapes for support when filling in the missing words of each poem.

6. Highlighted vocabulary - Students cut words from the bottom of the page to complete the sentences in the poem. This is best used in conjunction with the pocket chart by turning words over to hide, and is a great way to get to know the poem well!

7. Sequencing - Lines of the poem are mixed up and must be cut up and put back in order using the pocket chart poem as reference. Also makes a great independent literacy center.

8.Mini-Books - Students fold twice to create a small book to illustrated and read to a friend.

9.Following Directions - Students follow directions to search and circle specific things, such as letter combinations, familiar endings, rhyming words, capital letters, etc. It requires reading closely and repeated times.

10. Comprehension Questions - Students answer questions from the text and prompted to answer in full sentences. There are two versions of this page with different levels of support: with and without a sentence started.

11. Phonics Codes - These are fun puzzles where students use letter-sound knowledge to decode the poem. There are two levels: with and without word separation.

12. Compare/Contrast - using a Venn Diagram and related elements of

the poem.

13. EXTRAS: Full color word and picture cards: Words alone, pictures alone, and word/pictures together on the same card.
