But then, I created lesson plans that outlined what we might do before, during and after each nature walk, to help my young scientists grow observation and discovery skills while learning important science concepts and vocabulary.

Each nature walk has one specific focus, that invites your "nature detectives" to hunt for signs of spring, evidence of wind, colors in the rainbow, pushes/pulls, shadows, tracks, puddles and more. It also includes before and after-the-walk activities that can be done indoors to build prior knowledge and extend learning.
