This Pack Includes:
*7 page early emergent reader ‘Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.!’ in color and black and white
*7 page early emergent reader ‘Dr. MLK Jr!’ with fill in the blank for ‘He’ on each page
*14 word cards (This, is, He, had, a, that, would, be, gave, wanted, to, His, came, true) for use in a pocket chart
*2 punctuation cards (. and !) for use in a pocket chart
*7 picture and word cards for use in a pocket chart
How To Copy:
On your copier, select ‘collated’ and ‘staple’ with the ‘2 staples left’ option
Once books are copied and stapled, use a paper cutter (or scissors) to cut in half & make 2 books
Makes a great ‘Make-A-Book’ center or use in a guided reading group to help teach about Martin Luther King Jr and/or Black History month.
*For version 2 students fill in 'He' on the designated pages
Use the picture/word cards for a seasonal word wall display too!
Follow up by having discussions regarding equality in both our community and in school.
