Description

This WebQuest introduces students to functions by having them watch a video where they learn what inputs and outputs are as well as how to identify if a relation is a function from a table. Students then practicing looking at four tables and stating whether the relations in those tables are functions or not. Students then look at two sample vending machine choices to decide and explain which choice is a function based on the vending machineĀ“s input and output. The third part of this webquest has students watch a video on the vertical line test and determining whether a graph is a function. Students then practice looking at 6 graphs and stating whether or not those graphs are functions. Finally, students watch a video about determining whether a set of ordered pairs is a function and practice looking at 4 sets of ordered pairs to determine if those relations are functions.

A link to a digital copy of the assignment only has been added after the answer key to allow for teachers to assign to students digitally.
